Corfe Castle is an old ruin of a castle. History dates inhabitants in the area back to 6000BC, the castle has a chequered an interesting past.
Events are run by The National Trust and the castle is always open to visitors. Summer events include a lot of historically dressed characters in re-enactments. These characters are often in The Greyhound Inn at the foot of the castle at the end of their day!
The village houses an Enid Blyton bookshop and a few other little shops. It gets very busy during sunny days, it’s still worth a visit.
One of my favourite places.
